Get to know the Savory Chickpea Flour Omelette: itās protein-packed, flavourful, and completely egg-free.
Cause you know the score by nowā¦
This is that kind of food that makes you say:
F*CK, THATāS ______ ?! (Iāll let you finish that sentence in the replies)
Ingredients
1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
1 cup water
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black salt
½ cup diced bell peppers
¼ cup chopped spinach
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
Method:
STEP 1
In a bowl, whisk chickpea flour, water, turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, and black salt until smooth. Then toss in your bell peppers, spinach, and parsley.
STEP 2
Get your non-stick skillet to medium heat with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Pour in half of that glorious batter (youāre making two omelettes, G. Gotta share the love).
STEP 3
Let it cook for 3ā4 minutes, or until the edges start lifting on their own. Flip it, cook another 2 minutes.
STEP 4
Slide that omelette onto a plate and top it off with creamy avocado slices and a dollop of vegan sour cream.
